Field Notes on Concrete

A photobook of concrete buildings, printed in two blacks. No color anywhere, and the captions are the only text for sixty pages at a time.

Books

Field Notes on Concrete is the quietest book on this shelf: 192 pages, duotone black, captions set small in the outer margin and nothing else. The photographs sit inside a fixed margin so the buildings line up from spread to spread.

The only typographic event is the title page, set in the Didone at a size the rest of the book never uses again.
