Water Ledger reports on one river a year at a time. The grid is a ledger: a narrow column of gauge readings runs down the outer margin of every spread, and the photographs of reed beds and water surfaces are printed in a sky-blue duotone.
At 72 pages it is the shortest publication on the shelf, and the one with the most numbers.
